The Challenge

In 2021, Georgia Governor Kemp announced a significant capital allocation to Georgia Law Enforcement Agencies. He furthered his commitment to Georgia's law enforcement officers and announced millions in law enforcement training grants. Cordele Police Department was one of the agencies that successfully applied and received a law enforcement training grant from the state of Georgia. As a result of this capital commitment, Cordele Police Department was looking for a simulator that could help their deputies prepare for the various situations and incidents that can take place on any given day.

The Solution

After significant research on the various training simulators available for law enforcement training, Cordele Police Department ultimately decided on moving into the future and ditching the legacy-based projector simulators. Cordele PD is using its funds for an Apex Officer Training Simulator, which offers interactive, hands-on training that uses specific scenario-based examples. The Apex Officer System provides interactive testing and assessment and immersive, hands-on scenario-based exercises with detailed debriefing and after-action reviews. The system is designed to increase knowledge, skills, and confidence in a safe, challenging, interactive, and engaging environment.

The Results

Cordele PD ultimately decided to make the move into modern times by upgrading to Apex Officer Training Simulator. This new system provides interactive, hands-on training that uses realistic scenarios including specific ones designed for law enforcement. The Apex Officer System provides interactive testing and assessment and immersive, hands-on scenario-based exercises with detailed debriefing and after-action reviews.
